I had a P plater reverse his Hilux into the back of my car when I was parked at a servo. & my insurance company use Sommerville & I can honestly say. They handled everything smoothly. The ladies on the desk were so kind & polite. Very informative, they organised my hire car from hertz. Such a pleasure to deal with. They had my car for two days & called me when it was ready to collect. I now have a nice new bumper & tail lights. & I am so very great full that they washed & vacuumed my car, that was totally unexpected & greatly appreciated. (Due to a double back injury I haven’t been able to wash it myself) so thank you 🙏 If I ever need to get anything done to my car in the future. I will be calling the team here at Carrara. Where to start. I would give a 1 star review if it wasn’t for Carla and Adam. I dropped my car off for repairs as this is my insurance companies preferred repairer. I collect my car when it was ready and had “passed” quality control to notice the bonnet was not the same colour as the rest of my car. I advise that it’s not the same to be told the colour swatch name and that it was fine. I was unhappy with the repairs so contacted my insurance with a photo of my car and they also agreed the colour was not the same. Fast forward, my car is taken back in 3 weeks later to be rectified. Now, this is where it gets interesting. I was told my car would be ready Thursday, I get a text saying it wasn’t ready and it would be ready Friday. I hear nothing despite calling multiple times asking if my car was ready. Finally, it’s ready on the Monday. My partner goes to collect it Tuesday and when he gets there (drum roll) the paint STILL DIDNT MATCH. My partner was told it was the same colour but he refused to take my car (after they tried to convince him it was fine). It’s then ready the following day on the Wednesday after they had to call the paint manufacturer who told them they were in fact, using the WRONG colour paint (who’d have thought). I’m finally happy with the colour and take my car. I’m driving home and realize my right indictor wasn’t working. THEY FORGOT TO CONNECT MY INDICTOR. Lucky my mechanic partner picked up on it and was able to fix it. If you cant tell by my review, I would not recommend them. As I said above, the only reason they get a 2 star is because Adam and Carla were very friendly throughout the whole process.
Addit: they also painted my tyres 😂
Don't take your car here! No one's perfect and mistakes can happen, I understand that. But when mistakes are made and they give you pathetic excuses blaming everyone else, that's just unprofessional. Telling a customer after you've repaired a car to just go get the issues sorted themselves is ridiculous. You were paid for a job, do it. Misaligned panels, incorrectly fitted parts, screws missing, wiring hanging down, screws half hanging out, sensors beeping off their head, went over their estimate, and to top it off.... THEY LEFT A HAMMER ON MY ROOF. Luckily I pulled over when entering the M1 (because I heard something sliding) before it flew off and killed someone. I've attached photos of their garbage work that they thought was good enough and "that's how it is with replacement aftermarket parts" which they supplied.
I had an assessment today, I was absolutely impressed with how kind and efficient the staff were. Hat off to Mark for explaining things thoroughly and not making me feel silly for requiring further clarification. Mark was thorough, yet efficient when assessing my vehicle. Great customer service. Pleasant experience to say the least.
Highly recommended. All staff there were amazing. Made the process very smooth. Received my car back as brand new inside and out.
Awesome team. Quality of work was second to none. Really professional and kept me in the loop the whole time the vehicle was in their care. 100% recommend.
